About Me...I'm Maria Ferrari & I love Massage!
I have always felt a tremendous call on my life to help others. If I can
improve the quality of someone's day, even in small measure, it blesses
me greatly. As a Christian, nothing gives me greater joy than to bring
comfort to my fellow man, in the Spirit of God's love, through massage,
by treating the bodies that Psalm 139 says are, "fearfully and wonderfully
made".

I am a graduate of Hawaii Healing Arts College, in beautiful Kailua,
(Oahu), HI. My basic massage education consisted of 600 hours of
classroom and clinical training combined, and I continue to expand my
training through ongoing continuing education. My academic course work
at the school gave me a solid grasp of anatomy, physiology, and
kinesiology, and an understanding and appreciation of the many benefits
of massage therapy. My clinical practicum helped me to perfect my
Swedish relaxation massage, acquire discerning palpation skills, and
develop my abilities in Deep Tissue work.

After graduating from HHAC, I enjoyed an advanced internship in the
school's clinic while I prepared to take both the Hawaii State Board Exam,
and the
National Board Exam for Massage Therapy. I also became a
Teacher's Assistant at the school. These experiences helped to build my
confidence as a therapist, and really polish my skills as a professional.

Before returning to the mainland, I had the privilege of taking Lomi Lomi,
(Traditional Hawaiian Massage), under the instruction of Kumu Karen
Leialoha Carroll, who embodies the "Aloha Spirit".

I returned to the mainland in
April 2006, settling in beautiful
Santa Barbara, where I work at
some amazing hotel spas, as well
as having a growing private
practice.

In addition to being a Massage
and Spa Diva, I am an avid hiker
